Diary of Goddess: Life Lessons Learned

I started this blog in HS, when I was this materialistic, but saying I wasn't materialistic first to start a blog and thought my life was so fab since all I did was school, shop, & friends. Fast forward 4 years later, I became this college student that realized that college life wasn't like the movies and MY struggle began...Some 10 years from HS and here I am, living my dream of going to law school, bringing a whole new meaning to MY struggle…

No. 252

Ok, it's like I have nothing to say ever again, it's like i'm all pooped out and I have nothing to say. It's weird, all I can think about is school and that damn camo jacket at Old Navy. So, I was talking to my clustermate about politics, I understand why people don't talk about it. Not that it blew up or anything, but people gave me shit for not voting, I don't vote, simply because I don't know much about the candidates, i'm not going to vote because of the fact if the person were a lawyer, or a democrat, or a republican whatever, no that's not good enough nor is it good enough for me to vote for someone who is for gay marriages, that's not enough, that's why I don't vote. If I were to vote, i'd want to know it all, I'd want to know about all the people and what they stand for, what they've done and how I feel about them as seen through the media, and i'm not doing that because I don't have the time nor do a lot of Americans, many simply go and do that simple fact sheet thing, sure I guess that's good, but I mean it's not great. It's like my old history teacher told me as well as emphasized in one of my poli sci classes, people who vote most of the time do not know everything and aren't making a good decision. It's true, most people vote for various reasons not because they feel that all around that person is a good guy, i'm sure if you asked people why they voted for that person politically rather then culturally/socially they could sum up their answer in two sentences. That's not enough, I mean, after all that person's campaign is not two sentences, what that person stands for is not in two sentences. So that's why I don' t vote, because i'm not going to make an educated ignorant vote like the rest of America, that's why I leave it to the true 20% of Americans who really know what everything is was and will be. Oh... I also don't want jury duty.
